It took Lisa two hours to get home this afternoon, and she didn’t even make it all the way home as she had to ditch her car and walk the last mile home. All over Portland traffic was snarled in hopeless longing for home. The local news had a reporter go an entire two city blocks in ninety minutes while stuck in traffic. I was lucky, I was accident free and made it home in thirty minutes. And now I’ve just learned that school is canceled for tomorrow. Wow.

After a huge, multiple plate gorging at Hometown Buffet yesterday, I fasted for the rest of Saturday and for most of today. So I was definitely looking forward to dinner with Lisa tonight, at our favorite Go-to burger joint: Red Robin. Having no food for the last thirty hours really helped me appreciate and savor every single bite of this delicious burger. Ahhhh, yum!

We’ve been holed up at home over the last two days with school cancelled due to icy road conditions. So we’ve been lazy and vegging by reading, watching TV and doing stuff online (like planning vacations)…
Warm soup and grilled cheese. We also prepared for being stuck at home by getting pizza and a roasted chicken
