The sun finally poked through this morning and melted away a little bit of the snow. And though school was canceled for another day, I put on my car snow chains (much to the dismay of my frozen fingers) and Lisa and I ventured forth for my free birthday meal at Pastini and a 5000 calorie drink at Starbucks. We finished the evening by binge watching more season 4 of “Vikings.” Such is another no-school day, guess we’ll be making these eight days off by working until the end of June!
School was called off early this morning due to the massive amounts of snow — up to twelve inches in some Portland areas. So today was another lazy day at home, watching the snow fall and watching the news. Oh, we also did get out to enjoy the winter wonderland as well…
Nine inches of snowfall
Snow started falling around 5pm while Lisa and I were watching a movie. The movie ended by 6:20pm and we were able to drive home slowly and carefully. So we made it home just fine, and the snow has continued falling and traffic is just a terrible mess. So happy that we are home. School will most likely be canceled tomorrow, as the snow is forecasted to continue falling through the morning, potentially up to 7-10 inches.

Yesterday was mainly snow; through the night the freezing rain fell and this is what we woke up to. Needless to say we stayed home for the whole day and had another lazy weekend.
Winter ice storm forecasted for today and tomorrow, so Lisa and I played homebodies today and hunkered down. It helps when you have the Seahawks NFL playoff game plus a handful of movies to watch!
