After that Wednesday commute nightmare, Thursday just barely thawed out enough for Lisa and I to take a one mile walk and fetch her car. Her typical 20 minute drive took her two hours and she ditched her car in a neighborhood because she didn’t think it would make it up our small hills. She was lucky… some of her coworkers were stuck on the freeway for hours on end and would go one mile an hour, if that. This will always be remembered for the time students were stuck at school or on the school busses until midnight and everything in the Portland metro area was just not moving.
